Allman Brothers Band -Gregg Allman underwent Liver Transplant: The Allman Brothers Band is an American rock band formed on March 26 1969 in Jacksonville, FLorida. It comprised of Duane Allman -slide guitar and lead guitar, Gregg Allman -vocals, organ, Dickey Betts -lead guitar, vocals, Berry Oakley -bass guitar, Butch Trucks on drums and Jai Johanny "Jaimoe" Johanson drums.

Allman Brothers Band is one of the most famous and influential blues rock group in US, redefining blues and rock music and its border. The band’s mix of blues, country, jazz, and even classical influences, and their powerful, extended onstage jamming developed the principles of concert performance. As of 1970s, The Allman Brothers Band, together with many other blues rock bands generation, which includes the Marshall Tucker Band and Wet Willie, were located in Macon.

Now, As expected, the Allman Brothers Band won't be able to perform at the Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival this weekend. Gregg Allman underwent a victorious and very successful liver transplant surgery yesterday and has postponed all his current tours.
