New museum promises chance to ‘jam with Jimi Hendrix’ with hologram rock stars

Rock fans can realise their ultimate ambitions – and perform live with their heroes as The Music Hall of Fame confirms plans for a revolutionary new feature.

Set to open next year, the museum located in Camden, North London, will give fans the chance to ‘perform’ with fully interactive holograms of John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Freddy Mercury or Kurt Cobain.

In addition to being able to interact with the holograms, fans will be able to savour and treasure the moment via DVD footage of their performances.

A hologram live ‘appearance’ by rapper Tupac Shakur – during an appearance by Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre at the 2012 Coachella Festival – has acted as the catalyst for the innovative idea.

Project manager Lee Bennett tells the London Evening Standard: “You could be transported back to a specific moment of music or play with artists who are no longer alive, even playing back-to-back with a hologram.

“I was at Coachella watching Tupac and it blew people’s minds.”

Daltrey fronts Queen AIDS benefit

The Who singer Roger Daltrey heads a lineup of rock and comedy big names for Queen’s annual AIDS benefit show at London’s One Mayfair on September 5.

The date would have been Freddie Mercury’s 67th birthday – and to mark it, fans are asked to dress as the late frontman to raise funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust, set up in his honour after his memorial concert in 1992.

Organisers say: “From a simple moustache to a full head-to-toe ensemble, a fancy dress party to a Freddie flash mob, anything goes… as long as each person dressing up asks family and friends to sponsor them to do so to help raise funds for the cause.”

Freddie Mercury Becomes an Angry Bird

The late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury is being honored today with an animated video in which the singer is portrayed as an Angry Bird. To honor the singer's birthday (September 5th), the creators of the Angry Birds franchise have posted a video set to Queen's "Bicycle Race."

In London, Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor are hosting the third annual fundraiser Freddie for a Day, which benefits the Mercury Phoenix Trust's work towards AIDS research.

Adam Lambert Big Queen ... Announcement

He's paid his dues ... time after time ... and now Adam Lambert says he's been chosen to replace Freddie Mercury as the new lead singer of the legendary rock band Queen!!!!

Lambert KILLED IT with the band when he rocked out a rendition of "We Are The Champions" with the guys at the "American Idol" finale back in 2009 ... the first time he ever met the band.
