One day after the much-talked about fight between tri-media commentator Mon Tulfo and actor Raymart Santiago, Tulfo's younger brother, TV5 anchor Erwin Tulfo, called out Santiago for a "chat."
On his morning radio program on 92.3 NewsFM, the radio station of TV5, Erwin said:"Basta ako, Raymart, sabihin mo lang kung saan mo gustong magkape. Isama mo pa ‘yung walong kasama mo at si Claudine. Darating ako. Siguraduhin mo lang na kapag tinawag mo ako, darating ka. Ayaw kong pinaghihintay."
(Just tell me where you'd like to have coffee, Raymart. Bring along (your wife) Claudine (Barretto), if you want, and even those eight companions of yours. I'll be there. Just make sure that if you call me, you'd show up, too. I don't like being made to wait.)
The younger Tulfo issued his "invitation" a day after Mon and Santiago figured in a brawl at the international airport. Mon Tulfo said he was merely trying to pacify Barretto, whom he had chanced upon berating ground crew of Cebu Pacific. He was taking pictures of the the commotion as well, he acknowledged, when Santiago asked him to stop. The actor allegedly also tried to get Tulfo's cellphone, triggering a melee.
In an eyewitness video posted on YouTube, security guards as well as unidentified men are seen holding back Tulfo while Santiago - and later on Claudine - get in some hits.
No arrests were made, but Tulfo suffered bruises on his face. Barretto also had bruises on her thighs, the results, she alleges, of Tulfo having kicked her. Santiago says Tulfo kicked Barretto before the brawl, and claims that it was in fact that act - uncaught in the YouTube video - that triggered the brawl.
